Funeral services for Harold Coleman, 85, of West Monroe will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Pastor Wesley Coleman, his grandson, will officiate. Interment will follow at Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, LA. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Harold was born August 12, 1935 in Ansley, LA and passed away January 3, 2021 in West Monroe. Preceded in death was his one true love and wife of 63 years, Deanna Lee Coleman and his grandson, Daniel D. Drewry. Harold was the last of his generation, all his siblings had passed over the years. He loved his work, retiring from West Monroe Postal Service as a letter carrier in downtown West Monroe, and then from Century Printing as the “everything guy”. To his children, he was Daddy, the baby whisperer, he could soothe any baby, the mechanic, the carpenter…our Superman. He could figure anything out and make it work.
Harold is survived by daughter Cyndy Drewry; sons Gerald Coleman and wife Cheryl, Jamey Coleman and wife DeNece and Shelby Coleman and wife Reneé; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randall Pye, Marvis Coleman, Steven Drewry, Michael Drewry, Marc Taylor, Greg Johnson and Kyle Coleman.
