Graveside services for Harmon Glen Hays will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Ft. Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery. Evangelist Don Hawkins and Elder Irma McCall will officiate.  Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in Monroe from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Harmon was born on June 26, 1939 in Ft. Necessity, Louisiana and passed away on January 24, 2021 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in West Monroe.  He retired from D.O.T.D. as an inspector.  Harmon was an avid LSU fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days and was always eager to lend a helping hand.  He enjoyed spending time with his family. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Oble Hays.

Harmon is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen Baker Hays and numerous other family and friends.

i am sorry to hear of Harmon's passing. I Iworked with him at the DOTD. iI just thought that I would let you in on a very funny thing . Every day around ten till around twelve he would not be found on the job. Later on we found out that he would go home and watch the soaps and then would return to finish out the work day. He was a really easy person to work with unless something did not go the way he thought it should. All in all I enjoyed working with him and we never really had any problems on the worksite. Once again let me say that i am sorry to hear of his passing.
