Funeral services for H. G. Hudson, Jr., 83 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Larry Hibbard will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Hudson was born February 27, 1929 in West Monroe and passed away May 21, 2012 in West Monroe. He was a retired millwright and he taught carpentry at Ouachita Delta VoTech. Mr. Hudson was a member of Local 1811 and #419 Masonic Lodge. He served in the United States Marines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hudson and a daughter, Joanna Faulkner. Mr. Hudson is survived by a daughter, Recie Sullivan and sons, Ben Hudson and Lew Hudson; grandchildren, Chris Whitlock, Tony Sullivan, Shelly Hudson, Dustin Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan and Crystal Worthman; 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lew Hudson, Ben Hudson, Chris Whitlock, Robert Ellis, David Elliot and Matthew Sullivan. Visitation will be Wednesday May 23, 2012 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

"Mr. H.G" along with Ben took me on my first hunting trip and numerous fishing and camping trips. I stayed at their home more than my own and Mr. H.G. did his best to keep me and Ben out of trouble. Such great memories. So sorry to hear about his passing.
