Memorial services for Gregory Fox Baxter, 54, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2019 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Mark Fenn.Gregory Fox Baxter was born March 19, 1965 and passed away July 25, 2019. He graduated from West Monroe High School and attended NLU where he received a Bachelor degree in Business and Spanish. Gregory received a Masters Degree in counseling, and also studied at LA Tech and Merida, Mexico. He had a deep love for learning and enjoyed being a student. Gregory also tutored students in Spanish and math. He was employed at Universal Rehabilitation Center, Monroe, LA as an addiction counselor and served in the United States Navy. Gregory taught Karate and was an International Collegiate Champion in Shotokan Karate in 1990. Greg and I go back to NLU days and more recently during his work on the MS gulf coast in counseling. We briefly worked together in 2011 and rekindled our friendship. I'm very saddened to hear of his passing but I'm also confident that he is at his eternal home with the Father and laughing it up with whoever will laugh with him :).
