Memorial services for Glenn Kennedy, 47, will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2006 at St. Matthew≠s Catholic Church in Monroe. Officiating will be Father Joe Puthapally. Glenn was born on November 23, 1958 and passed away on November 22, 2006. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Jeanette Kennedy. Survivors are his father, Dr. Irving G. Kennedy, Jr.; sister, Kim Kennedy; brothers, Curt Kennedy, John Kennedy and Doug Kennedy. Glenn was a renowned area artist. His works included pastoral scenes both along the Ouachita River and the surrounding country. Perhaps, his greatest talent was seen in his very unique and graphic still lives that resonated reality even beyond reality itself. He did a great amount of commissioned work that included not only paintings but murals both private and public. Glenn had achieved his Masters at Louisiana Tech and served on their faculty in the Art Department. One of Glenn≠s greatest achievements was the painting of the dome in St. Matthew Catholic Church.
