Graveside services for Gladys Burney will be held at Fellowship Cemetery in Caldwell Parish, Friday, January 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating will be Glenn Gore. Visitation will be in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane in Monroe from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Mrs. Burney was born in Columbia, LA January 15, 1913 and passed away January 24, 2007 at the age of 94 at Riverside Nursing Home. Mrs. Burney was preceded in death by her parents: John Willie and Izora Walker; her sons: Walker Duckett and Wayne Burney; her three sisters, one brother, one great granddaughter: Brandi Duckett and one great great grandson: John Paul Duckett. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Stowell, Billie Jean Stamper and husband, George Stamper and her loving daughter-in-law: Jo Ann Duckett. She had 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Glenn Stamper, Gary Stamper, Walker Duckett, Jr., Terry Duckett, Michael Stamper and Scott Stamper. The family of Mrs. Burney would like to give a special "thank you" to the staff at Riverside Nursing Home and Dr. Daniel Hutton.
