Gertha Lea “Shortie” Leslie Giles of Choudrant, LA was born March 14, 1929 in Trout Louisiana, the youngest of 4 sisters. She passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Ruston, LA and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Choudrant.
She graduated Business College in Baton Rouge and worked in the old state capitol building. There she met Robert Wayne Giles. They married and had two daughters and settled in North Louisiana. They both enjoyed a life of travel and the fellowship with dear friends.
Dogs were a big love in her life and she owned a fine succession of them. Her relationship with God and her service to Him was her greatest joy.
Graveside services will be held 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.
Memorials may be made to 4 Paws Rescue, 290 Rodeo Road, Ruston, LA 71270.
