Geraldine Gerry Marie Ambrosia BentonGerry was born on May 29, 1937 and resided in Farmerville until she left peacefully to be with the Lord on October 25, 2017.Gerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Gerry loved taking care of her family, cooking, gardening, doing crafts, caring for all animals and a long time fan of the New Orleans Saints.Gerry was preceded in death by her father, mother; Mary Davis and husband Lloyd, husband Donald Buck Benton, and, son Chris Benton and beloved Chihuahua, Sweet Pea.Gerry is survived by her daughter, Marlo Benton Haddox and husband John, grandson, Brad Benton and wife Amy; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Collin, and Ethan; and Shauna Kircus whom she loved like a daughter.The family would like to give a special thanks to Arbor Rose and all of its staff for the loving care and friendship they provided to Gerry for several years.To honor Gerry and her love of animals, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Union Parish Humane Society, P.O.
