Mr. George “Jo” Pittman, age 78 of Choudrant, LA passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020, at his residence following a lengthy illness.  He was born on November 24, 1941 in Shreveport, LA.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Choudrant; daughters, Loree Birkenback and husband Bob of Rockwall, TX and Susie Stevens of Shreveport, LA; sons, George Pittman of Kentucky and Rick Bell of Temple, TX; sister, Gail Hinton of Shreveport; brother, Gary Pittman of Shreveport; step-daughters, Sheila Kelley, Sharon Dietsch, and Shalane Orlando; step-son Richard Stedman; granddaughters, Kiran Marr, Bianca Goolsby, and Carol Birkenback; grandsons, Dylan Hale, Logan Perkins, Kaden Marr, Aaron Birkenback; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Dad’s main wish was for his children to outlive him and to be able to pass in his own home surrounded by his loved ones.  Both wishes came true.  Heaven will be a better place due to his sense of humor and huge heart (George Pittman).

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
