George Allen Rogers Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Memorial services for George Allen Rogers, age 73, of Troup, Texas formerly of Ruston, LA will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Mr. Rogers was born September 13, 1940 in Pine Bluff Arkansas, and passed away Monday, November 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by his first wife: Angie Rogers. Mr. Rogers was employed by the Ruston Police Department for 11 years, and is survived by wife: Sylvia Rogers; daughters: Sue Rogers Dollar of Huntsville, AL and Sandra Rogers Freeman of Dubach, LA; brothers: Charles Rogers and Rex Rogers both of Texas; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. George and I worked together for a number of years at RPD. He was a dedicated husband, father and public servant. I would like to thank his family for their sacrifices during George's service to the Ruston community. I am very fortunate to have served with, and learned from George. My prayers are with you.
