Geneva was born on July 1, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away in Ruston, Louisiana on August 8, 2020. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Luna Assembly of God. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tarkington; daughter, Charlotte Lawrence; parents, William Edward Forrest and Bessie Evelyn Odgen Forrest.
Geneva is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Averitte, Cindy Wilhite and husband, Josh; eight grandchildren, Roxann Averitte, Ashley Howze and husband Jason, Chelsea Womack and husband Josh, Cass Alexander, Brylie Wilhite, Payton Wilhite, Lilly Wilhite, Katie Ray Wilhite; three great-grandchildren, Austin Howze, Courtney Howze, Charlie Jack Womack; many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cass Alexander, Jason Howze, Austin Howze, Jimmy Bailey, Ted Foster, Kelby Lenard.
