We finished a chemistry class one afternoon, the topic was "Chemical Equation" and virtually every one in the class was blank cos d topic seems difficult or the teacher did not Mr. Lloy did not deliver the topic well. Notiicng the feeling of every one Gbolahan simply went to d black board and started teaching the topic all over. That was the king of person Gbolahan was.

I've been so sick in the last two2 hours upon discovering that our very own person - Gbolahan Sokoya is no more. You taught me how never to be fazed by anything...I have been a great beneficiary of your cerebral brilliance! Real men are hard to find. You were such a real person. I haven't found a man so intelligent yet humble as you were. It is evident for all to see the great power of your example and how far you touched the lives of so many of us...you treated all men with respect! Your time here was undoubtedly extremely short which makes it so hurtful. You were everything to me Dr Sho! I pray i get over this in due time. I should have loved you better brother, if i knew you would leave this soon, i would have dotted on you better than i did. I have never seen one who is as generous as you without a mind of an exchange for anything. I am not related to you by blood but you took me as one. You encouraged me to come to the US and when i got here, you were always checking up on me. You never stopped sharing with me, calls, money, gift. I should have noticed that you were sick when suddenly for about 3 months i did not hear from you but i was just a bad girl for not asking after you until Olumide announced your death. It was over 2 decades that I met you last but the news about your progress and contibutions to the human society constantly brought joy me. I will always remember my Friend. I was always Dr. Mitchell and he was always Dr. Sokoya. He was always very thorough and an excellent physician. His professionalism was unrelenting but always he had the most wonderful smile. I will never forget that smile. Though he was quite young, he was much more seasoned a physician than many of you may have realized. He was a private person but if you knew one thing about Dr. Sokoya, he LOVED his family. I have great respect for him then and now. It was a PRIVILEGE to have known you Gbolahan!! You are truly missed.....
