Funeral services for Mr. Gary DeWayne Haacks, 68, of Sterlington, LA will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. till time of service. Officiating will be James Richard Wells and Terry Cole. Interment will follow at Dean Baptist Church Cemetery in Dean, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Gary a retired truck driver was born on October 15, 1952 and passed away on August 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Ollie and Myrine Haacks and niece Tiffany Norman.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Janice Haacks of Sterlington, LA; daughter, Hillary Dupree of Sterlington, LA; sons, Deacon Haacks and wife Kallie of Farmerville, LA; Landon Haacks and wife Linsey of Marion, LA; sisters, Teresea and husband Eugene Norman of Bastrop, LA; Lecia and husband Brent Franklin of Sterlington, LA; grandchildren, Avery Dupree, Hayden Dupree, Preslee Dupree, Lilly Beth Haacks, Shaw Walker Haacks, Kolton Haacks, and Bryar Haacks, nieces Misty Norman, Lindsay Franklin and close family friend Dale Dupree.

Pallbearers will be Don Smith, Dale Dupree, Ryan Johnson, Jared Bowen, Lance Thomas, and Mason Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Brantley and Joe Hodge.
