Funeral services for Mr. Rodney “Gary” Bloomer, age 70, will be held at 11:00 A.M. , Thursday, March 9, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Rev. Roy Duffey. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mr. Bloomer was a retired painter with Brock Painting Contractor. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Rodney Bloomer, Sr. and Maxine Fondren; brother, Andy Bloomer and grandmother, Grandma Fondren. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Billie Fisher Bloomer; son Michael Bloomer and his wife, Candace; daughters, Michelle Bloomer, Melissa Bloomer and Kim Neeley; sisters, Kathleen Duffey and husband, Roy, Linda Fulmer and her husband, Roger and Barbara Bloomer Messina Hidalgo; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rodney Patton, Aaron Bloomer, Brandon Bloomer, Dee Lewis, James Boudreaux, Dennis Crowell and Michael Bloomer.
