Funeral services for Mr. G.W. “Hoss” Brantley 80, of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Farmerville Church of Christ with Reverends Stanley Brantley and Rayland Trisler officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Farmerville, LA under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.
Hoss was born on July 23, 1941 in Farmerville, LA; and passed away on February 14, 2022. He was a member of Crossroads Church of Christ and retired from British Petroleum as an Account Executive where he received numerous awards. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and hunting with his grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillie Mae Brantley, siblings, Don Brantley and his wife Sally, Jurd Brantley, Theron Brantley and his wife Faith, Joe Brantley and his wife Barbara, brother-in-law Gene Gray, nephews Steve Brantley, Michael Brantley, Jerel Guy and Jimmy Gray, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Victor and Ernell Holley.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Malone Brantley of Farmerville, LA; children, Suellen Brantley Maureau and husband Wayne of New Orleans, LA; Amy Brantley Oliver of Sterlington, LA; grandchildren, Brantley Oliver and his wife Victoria and Madison Maureau, great-grandchild, Molly Kate Oliver and sister, Goldie Brantley Gray.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Brantley, Kendel Brantley, Dent Taylor, Robert Tyree, Alan Malone, Tracey Brantley, Harrell Wilson, and Brian Chambley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Franklin, Vernon Guy, Chance Hallmark, Meli Quintero, David Duty, Bob Hodge, Rusty Hodge, and Frank Sogga.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.
