Funeral services for Fuller “Fishman” Bearden, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 pm, August 23, 2013 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery Downsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Bearden was born April 10, 1925 in Union Parish, LA and passed away August 20, 2013 in West Monroe. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from West Monroe papermill. He is survived by his 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. LA

Regina and family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Each of you will be in my thoughts & prayers in the coming days.

Uncle Fuller shared an experience he had with an alligator gar hooked on his fishing rod. This fish he exclaimed was as long as his boat. He had a long wet battle on his hands, but hours later the fish got away. He was very excited telling the story many years since it had happened. He was so good at his tale it was like I was there. Thank You Uncle Fuller for the times you took me fishing . Gary
