Funeral services for Freddie Wayne Mayes, 68, of West Monroe, LA, will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.Freddie was born April 15, 1949 in Monroe, LA, and passed away June 24, 2017, in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, William Harvey Mayes, and his mother, Marie Arrant Mayes.Freddie is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Mayes and wife, Bonnie, and Ricky Mayes and wife Dawn; sisters, Shirley Williams, Patricia Campbell and husband Raymond, and Penny Dulaney and husband, Donald; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.Freddie passion was the New Orleans Saints; he was their number one fan.Pallbearers will be Ricky Mayes, Kenneth Mayes, Steve Rowton, Jeremy Mayes, Harold Glen Arrant, and Richard Arrant. Honorary pallbearer will be Oliver Lowery.Visitation will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
