Funeral services for Frank “Smokey” Ellis, 83, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe. Brother Richard Byrd will officiate. Interment will follow at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery with full military honors.
Smokey was born on July 13, 1941 in St. Joseph, Louisiana and went to his heavenly home on January 4, 2025. He was a United States Army veteran and an electrician. Smokey was preceded in death by his parents, June Ellis and Juanita Albert Ellis; and two brothers, Robert Ellis, J.W. Ellis.
Smokey is survived by his two sons, David Ellis and Danny Ellis; sister, Sheila Hendricks; brother, Gary Ellis and wife Diane; and many other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe
