Frances Marion Fagan Moore, 89, passed away December 12, 2022 in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on August 13, 1933.
Frances was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and a great friend to anyone she met. She had an adorable, captivating laugh. If you knew Frances, you were a better person for it.
Frances was one of the very best restaurant servers in this world. She was a server on many an Army Base while her husband served in the United States Army. Frances also worked at Elias Brothers Big Boy in Hillsdale for many years and at Filmore’s in Jonesville before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her church family in Hillsdale, Michigan as well as West Monroe, Louisiana. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her delicious food with her family. Frances was an incredible crocheter and had a special gift for it, as well as quilting. She loved gardening, reading, playing board games, especially Scrabble, bowling, and beading, to name a few. She loved watching all of her grandchildren play sports. In her earlier days, she was an avid square dancer, sewing her own outfits. She was a woman of many talents, too many to name. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil Lucky Moore, daughter, sisters, and brothers.
Surviving are her children, David (Jeannie), Donnie (Cindy), Robin (Dennis), Denise, Dennis (Marcy) and Dale (Pat). She was a grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Chad, Sheri, Michelle, Jessica, Ryan, Rhonda, David, Jason, Jon, Crystal, and Brad. She was a great-grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Boo.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1301 Oliver Road Monroe, LA.
