When I was a very young boy, I vividly remember my cousin Sonny patiently explaining to me how to build a ship in a bottle. He made what appeared to me impossible seem almost effortless. I did not really understand how he was able to do it, but I knew with absolute certainty that he could it. In fact, from that point on, I was convinced that my cousin Sonny could do just about anything. And I was right. Peggy, Dwayne, and Jeanne, I pray that in this time of profound sadness you will find some solace in celebrating your memories of Sonny’s extraordinary life: a life that truly was a gift to all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
