I can bear witness to the fact that the wonderful remembrances and attributes that the family has given in Mr. Floyd's obituary are absolutely correct. He was also a true friend of, even considered a member of, the Roberson-Vail family.I had the distinct privilege of getting to know him back in 1976, when I worked with him at the sawmill in Simsboro. He was a man of great knowledge, integrity, and conviction. His honesty was impeccable...he was a man our family totally trusted in the lumber business...he was the best! But the greatest attribute he possessed was his Christian witness...he brought that to work with him every day and would readily share it with you. The Mercer family should always be proud of the legacy he has left not only you ... but us. He was a truly great man, and we have been blessed for having known him.
