She was a prayer warrior. One grandson wrote these words – We know that God doesn't see what man sees. He sees the heart; He sees the spiritual realm. When the world saw a small-framed 92-year-old woman pass away in a hospital bed, God welcomed home a decorated five star general. In my 26 years on earth I have met many powerful men and women of God, and have always admired those saints who seem to spend daily time in the throne room of our Savior. They glow with his presence, exude his joy, and inspire the rest of us to seek a closer and deeper relationship with Jesus. Mammaw, Florine, my grandmother, stands out as one of the best among this elite group. Her family remembers Florine faithfully, lovingly, and daily proclaiming, declaring and praying many things from the Word of God she loved so dearly. She could frequently be heard saying Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
