Funeral services for Florence Odelle Walton Strickland, 93, of Ruston, Louisiana, will be held in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, Friday, November 26, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Larry Bullock will officiate, and interment will immediately follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Odell was born October 27, 1928, in Union Parish, Louisiana and passed away November 22, 2021, in Ruston, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Robert Strickland and son, George Jonathan Strickland.

Odell is survived by her sons; George Michael Strickland and wife Gail of Hot Springs Village, AR, Mark Walton Strickland and wife Kathy of Bossier City, LA, and Timothy Lin Strickland of Miami, FL; daughter, Jill Strickland of Ruston, LA; grandchildren, Shawnn Strickland and wife Melissa of Taylor, AR, Miranda Jackson and husband Troy of Bryant, AR, Amy Watkins and husband Josh of Magnolia, AR, Quintin Strickland of Ruston, LA, Ashley Strickland and wife Laurie of Ruston, LA, Mary Alford and husband Craig of Denham Springs, LA, and Kimberly Strickland of Weston, LA. There are 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shawnn Strickland, Quintin Strickland, Ashley Strickland, Lain Strickland, Alex Fogo, and Ken Phipps. Honorary pallbearer will be Dale Brumett.
