Services for Eunice ¨Nuna Cole will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Spearsville. Bro James Miller and Bro. Jason Cole will officiate. She died in Bernice, March 4, 2007 after a short illness. Interment will be at Spearsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March7, 2007 at the church, also at 10:00 a.m. till time of service. She was a longtime resident of Spearsville. After graduating from La. Tech in 1930, she taught in a variety of Union Parish schools in several different grades. She retired as a science teacher at Spearsville High School after 40 years of service. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Phi Chapter and served a term as president. She was an active member of Spearsville Baptist Church for many years. She served as church secretary and treasurer and for Spearsville Cemetery for 30 years and was presented a beautiful plaque for this service. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dora Cole Lambert, Father, George L. Cole. Very special and dear Great Nieces and Nephews; Chris, Lee, Georgia Carol, Wanda, Linda, Clyde, Thomas, Caggie, Sandra, Caroline, Thad, Susan, Jason, Katie, Alicia, Cynthia & all their spouses, and several great, great nieces and nephews. Nuna was still active and loved to roll up and down the halls of Bernice Nursing and Rehab visiting and participation in activities. She was a wonderful Christian example and prayer warrior.
