She was born and raised in Star City and attended school there. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson and Ethel Miller Haddox; brothers, Loy, Lee and Billy Haddox; sisters, Dorothy Smith and Geneive Weeks; husband, Ernest J. East; and son Baden Powell Hoops.She is survived by her step-son, Don East (wife Joyce); stepdaughter, Bobbie L. Duryea of California and stepdaughter, Beatrice East Pullig; nieces, nephews and friends.
