Eugene was born on April 22, 1929 in Camden, AR and passed away on June 27, 2021 in Monroe, LA. Eugene was veteran of the United States Army. He served three tours in Korea for which he received 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Eugene was retired from St. Francis Medical Center. He is survived by his son, Eugene Simms, Jr. and numerous grandchildren.
