Emory V. Moon, Sr. Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Funeral services for Mr. Emory V. Moon, Sr., of Farmerville will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Officiating the service will be Rev. David Martin. Interment will follow in Farmerville City Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Mr. Moon was born on April 22, 1925 in Crossett Arkansas and passed away on November 5, 2012 at his residence. Emory entered the U.S. Navy at age 17 serving in both WWII and Korean War as a medic. After, he enjoyed many assignments around the world with his family. Upon retiring, Emory and Thelma returned to Farmerville and spent many years as Sear's merchants. He was an active member of the Farmerville Masonic Lodge. Then the real fun began. TOTAL RETIREMENT. They were charter members of Lake D'Arbonne Country Club where he remained as the club's Marshall until his passing. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Thelma Moon, daughter Sherry and Buster Thrasher, son Sandy and Linda Moon, daughter Vicki and Tommy Caldwell; grandchildren: Shelly and Mike O'Neil, Jamie and Greg Albritton, Brad and Carrie Caldwell, Tammy Powell and John Powell; great-grandchildren, Abbie, Nicholas, Emrie, Edyn, Joseph C., Cole, Clay, Josh, Dominic, and Savana. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
