Graveside Services for Mrs. Elva Burgess, of Marion, LA will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, LA. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Gawan Burgess.Under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.

Elva Ruttley Berry Burgess was born on June 28, 1935 in Barataria, LA, and passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021 at the age of 85 at her home after a lengthy illness in Marion, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mathilda Ruttley, brothers, Leon “TuTu” Ruttley, Tom “JT” Ruttley, Harold “BeBoy” Ruttely and sister, Leona “Tootie” Varney McCall.

Survived by her children, Terrie L. Darby (Richard); Jimmy D. Berry, Jr., (Cheryl); Darren M. Berry (Patricia); also left to cherish her memory is her husband of 30 years, Kenneth Burgess; her step-children, Sallie Burgess, and Barry Burgess; her grandchildren, Eric Shane Darby, Jamey Duane Berry, Casey Berry, Jeremy Berry, Brienne, and Samantha Acharya; with numerous great grand children as well as many  nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Eric Shane Darby, Jamey Duane Berry, Casey Berry, Jeremy Berry, Brienne Pruitt, and Samantha Acharya.
