Funeral services for Elsie Wilhite Wall, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 12th at Wilhite Methodist Church with Billy F. Wilhite officiating. Interment will follow at Wilhite Community Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Wall was born August 14, 1925 and passed away on December 8, 2011. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe. She worked a total of 55 years. She retired from Selig Manufacturing after working 40 years, and went on to work for Dillards for 15 years. Her main hobby was making purses and she was known as the “purse lady”. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Flora Borders; son, Robert L. Wilhite; two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Wall was very special to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The feelings were mutual as demonstrated by great-grandson Grant singing “I love Grandma-yes I do”. She is survived by daughter, Frances Anderson and husband, Van; daughter-in-law, Margie Kay Wilhite; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister Gladys Lemonds and husband, Paul; and many nieces and nephews in Missouri and Louisiana. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe on Monday, Dec. 12th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
