My Aunt Ellen, whether she knew it or not, was a formidable influence in my life. I'd spend summers with my Grandmother, and, Aunt Ellen made sure I had regular trips to the library, swimming (she taught me arm and leg movements, threw me in and said, "You can do it." She was right.) Her wit was razor sharp, my cousins were my delight, and I still tell the story of Missy's birth. She gave me my first introduction to theater, sewing and cooking. She will remain a loved cornerstone in my life. To my Uncle Clyde and my cousins, I send belated condolences, love and the appreciated joy of knowing a woman like my Aunt.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Ellen but know that she raised an amazing, loving, kind and sassy daughter that we are proud to call our friend. Ellen made a great legacy that she must have been so proud of. Our prayers are with Missy and the entire family. Love to all, Becky and Pat Franz

My heart goes out to the entire Webb family/extended family. I know with absolute certainty that Ellen was truly one of a kind....and was the matriarch to a wonderful collection of quality humans...each unique and special in their own way. I remember well when Mike would return to LSU with "Ellen vittles" and the excitement that created for all of us who had ever tasted her incredible cooking. I also remember my first post-LSU visit to "Club Webb"...sharing martinis with Ellen like a real "grown up". I am truly deeply sorry for your loss. May the memories created with and by her bring you joy for years to come.......
