Funeral services for Effie Cloyd Martin, 83, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at McClendon Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Stewart and Rev. Justin Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Martin was born February 22, 1930 and passed away December 8, 2013. She was a lifetime member of McClendon Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas O. Martin; parents; Harvey and Emma Cloyd; siblings; Milton Cloyd, Glenn Cloyd, Marhsall Cloyd and Margie Kuhn. She is survived by daughter, Shelia Martin; son, Darrell Martin and wife Keyla Almengo Martin; grandchildren; Alisha Clark and husband Justin and Shane Martin and wife Jennie; great grandchildren; Tristen, Gracie, and Jedidiah Clark and Ava Martin; step-grandchildren; Keisy Nunez Almengo and Kedry Jesus Almengo. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
