Funeral services for Ed Linder 69, of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Aulds Chapel Bible Church, Downsville, LA. Rev. Mike Reynolds will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Downsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Ed was born December 6, 1941 in Calhoun, LA and passed away October 19, 2011 in Downsville, LA. He worked at Chrysler Dodge Corporation for many years as a mechanic and retired from the City of West Monroe. Ed served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964 on the ship U.S.S. Kearsage CVS-33. He was a member and past master of the Downsville Masonic Lodge Ed is survived by his wife; Freddie Liner; his son, Barry Linder; granddaughter, Heather Linder; sister, Nancy Crawford Fourmy; brother, Thomas Linder and wife Connie; and a host of numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws. Pallbearers will be Erie Lively, Ken Crawford, Matthew Canales, Tony Ardis, James Spillers, Jr. and Eric Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Malone, Troy Warren, Roy Turner, and Class of 1960 Calhoun High School. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Aulds Chapel Bible Church Building Fund.
