Funeral services for Earline Mathus Statham, 77, former resident of Calhoun, are 2:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2013, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment follows in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Earline was born on March 1, 1936 in Vernon, Texas, to Earl and Tiny Mathus and was a graduate of Neville High School in 1954. A retired office manager and homemaker, she was a longtime member of Calhoun Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John Kevin Statham, and her husband, Rod Statham. Earline is survived by her sons, Rodney Earl Statham and wife, Kristine of Crosby, TX, and Richard Wayne Statham and wife, Velma of Calhoun, LA; by grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Statham, Wesley Blade Statham, Derek Williams and wife, Courtney, and Cassandra Johnson and husband, Will; great grandchildren, Kirsten and Carlisle Johnson, Brooke Williams, Britney Heacock, Lee Bottoms, and Kurt Bottoms; great great-grandchild, Marley Marie Bottoms. She also leaves behind her brother Billy Mathus and wife Shirley of West Monroe, LA. Earline will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Kelly Mathus, Kevin Mathus, Sammy Stanley, Jimmy Ray Harrell, Ricky Beavers, and Steve Thompson. Visitation is Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe LA.
