E.H. Chandler was born on May 11, 1925 near Ruston, Louisiana. He attended high school at Choudrant High School and in 1943 served his country as a Navy Seabee in the Pacific theater during WWII. After returning home he married his childhood sweetheart, Madge Risinger, and together they raised two children, Becky and Paul. E.H. and Madge were married 67 years until Madge death in 2012. E.H. was a longtime businessman in Ruston operating the Ruston Furniture Exchange Company for over 30 years. He was a longtime member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana where he served as a deacon. E.H. passed away February 17, 2018 after a lengthy illness.He is survived by his two children: Becky Weaver and husband Keith of the Woodlands Texas and Paul Chandler and his wife Theresa of Magnolia Texas; four grandchildren: Jim Weaver, Mandy Hopkins and husband Ryan, Allison Weaver, and Matthew Chandler; one great grandson Keegan Hopkins; and one brother Lavon Chandler of Bentonville Arkansas. Visitation will be at Kilpatricks Funeral Home of Ruston on Friday, February 23 from 5-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, at the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Spearsville with burial in the Spearsville Cemetery.
