Dr. Sol I. Courtman, 96, of Monroe passed away on August 1, 2018. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Dr. Courtman was one of the truly great physicians from the Rea of family doctors that did it all. He was a lifelong friend of both my parents who respected him as a colleague and considered him a friend. When I began my practice DrCourtman shared his patients with me . I saw first hand how smart and capable a physician he was. He left a void in the community upon his retirement. I know his family was proud of him. I certainly felt it a privilege to be able to work with him.

Sol was the father of my high school sweetheart, “Ned”, as he was known then. To be honest, I always thought he was “the most interesting man” I had ever known ~ and I was in awe of him. He was always so sweet to me. I loved you, Sol, and I always will. My sincere sympathy to the Courtman Family.
