Douglas Gene Fautheree US Army Veteran Funeral services for Mr. Douglas Gene Fautheree, 74, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Ouachita Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Bro. Dennis Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery near Arcadia, LA. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mr. Fautheree passed away July 29, 2012 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born September 22, 1937 to the union of Ledell and Gladys Fautheree in Rayville, LA. Mr. Fautheree was a decorated United States Army Veteran. Doug was a retired millwright of Riverwood International. He loved to travel, fish, hunt, listen to bluegrass, pick his guitar, cook, and especially spend time with his family. Doug gathered his greatest strength from his deep faith in the Lord and loved attending his church. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Jane Fautheree, and sister Maxine Pacey. Survivors: wife Martha Sullivan-Fautheree; children, Harold Guy Fautheree and wife, Carrie Lanae, Michael Gene Fautheree and wife, Tammy, Rachel Deiter and husband, Timmy, Carrie Fautheree and fiancé John King; 9 grandchildren: Sabrina Fautheree, Ember and Heather Carmichael, Jonathan Fautheree, Collin Peoples, Maegan King, and Malynda, T.J., and Kora Deiter; brothers, Lavonne Fautheree, W.L. “Dub” Fautheree, and Douglas Eugene Fautheree; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Devone Woodall, Jr., Timothy Deiter Jr., PV2 Jonathan Fautheree, Collin Peoples, Issac French, and Willie Aarons. Honorary Pallbearer Chuck Donley and Ronnie Fredericks. Special thanks to Dr. Clyde Elliott, Dr. Ron Hammett, the caring, numerous medical staff that assisted him throughout his long illness especially the staff at GRMC ICU South. Also, special thanks to Chuck and Kris Donley. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00PM Monday, July 30, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
