Funeral services for Dotia Wallace Medlin will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church Monroe, LA. Rev. Steven Wilkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park.Mrs. Medlin was born March 12, 1932 in Fordyce, AR and passed away after a brief illness on September 2, 2016 in Downsville, LA. She was a longtime member of Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Medlin loved to quilt at the West Ouachita Senior Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dempsey Medlin; parents, William Henry and Delma Martha Green Wallace; brother, James W. Wallace.Mrs. Medlin is survived by four sons, Jim Medlin and wife Jennifer, Randy Medlin, Ronnie Medlin and wife Carol, and Ed Medlin; grandchildren, Dustin Medlin, Alyssa Reyes, Christopher Medlin, Amy Medlin-Higginbotham and husband Scott, Emily Medlin Gautreaux and husband CeJay, Timothy Medlin and wife Mary, Nathanael Medlin and wife Amy, and Katey Medlin; great-granddaughters, Mollie Rose Higgenbotham and Persephone Jolie Gautreaux.Pallbearers will be Timothy Medlin, Nathanael Medlin, Dustin Medlin, Christopher Medlin, CeJay Gautreaux and Scott Higginbothom.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
