Funeral services for Dorothy Potts Smith, 86, of Ruston will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 21, 2006 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Oden. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Smith passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, in Ruston following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Ruston. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Sikes L. ¨Smithy Smith; sisters, Lela Mae Potts, Bernice Hutchinson, Ruby Glass; and brother, Doyle Potts. She is survived by her brothers, Clyde Potts and wife Nell of Ruston, Claude Potts and wife Ruth of Port Arthur, TX; sister, Gladys Dye and husband Chris of Ruston; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children≠s Home or to the Cancer Society. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the funeral home.
