Dorothy Byrnside, 94, was born to Palmer H. and Cena Bearden Wilson in Farmerville, Louisiana on May 8, 1930 and passed away on November 19, 2024 in Choudrant, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church in Farmerville, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Harlin Knight officiating. Interment will be at Sardis Baptist Cemetery under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Crawford Byrnside; sons, Palmer Wilson “Pat” Byrnside, Crawford Fred Byrnside; grandson, Buddy Byrnside; brother Johnny Wilson; sister Virginia “Ginger” Wilson; and niece, Terri Owens.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jean B. Maza (Jerry) of Choudrant; sister, Lillian W. Ginn of Ruston; daughter-in-law, Patricia “Patty” Owens Byrnside of Strong, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Agnes Thomas Wilson of Farmerville; grandsons, Shannon W. Spillers, Joshua Hood (Lori), and Jimmy R. Byrnside (DeeDee); and granddaughter, Kristi Byrnside Smith (Billy); numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Ginn, Jerri Ginn, David Ginn, Chandler Wilson, Jerry Maza, and Josh Hood. Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Spillers, Jimmy Byrnside, and C.J. Johnson.
