Funeral services for Dorothy Frances BeDoit Bearden, 82, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 15, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Father Frank Coen, Henry Chriceol and Dr. Lionel Crowell will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paschal's Cemetery West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Bearden was born September 27, 1929 in Monroe, LA and passed away June 12, 2012 in West Monroe. She was a graduate of St. Matthews High School, Class of 1946. Mrs. Bearden retired with BellSouth and was an Avon Lady for 32 years. She was a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bearden was a 40 year breast cancer survivor, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the Avon President's Club for top sellers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene BeDoit and Francella Ragland BeDoit Roy, step-father, Bill Roy and brother, Robert BeDoit. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Durward O. Bearden; daughter Terri and husband Jim Gilmer, Jr.; brother, Gene BeDoit and wife Karen and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ben Bearden, Kermit Bearden, Bob Hodge, Travis Freeman, Stan Bearden and Heath BeDoit. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
