Funeral services for Mrs. Doris May Aulds, 89 of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 27, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Tim Mosher and Mr. Doug Wall will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Aulds was born May 12, 1922 in Cottonplant, LA to parents, W. T. “Man” May and Levi White May. Her name was Doris Elsie May. She would grow up to be a loving wife and mother. She lost her mother, Levi at age three, her father “Man” May much later 1975 and two brothers, Waylon T. May and Mervin” Buck” May and her sister, Mavis Week. Her beloved husband James D. Aulds “Shorty” would follow in 1990. She was the wonderful mother of three children, they are Teresa Ann Rogers of West Monroe, Raylon R. Rogers and wife Martha of Oklahoma and Dorinda Rogers Cason and husband Dean of West Monroe. Doris will be cherished as a great friend, amazing mother, grandmother, wonderful sister, and a very kind and giving individual. She was a loyal member of the New Life Wesylan Church of West Monroe. She went to join our Lord on February 23, 2012. She lived with a vigor all her own and faced many mountains to climb, she never once gave up or deserted her children she worked very hard. Mrs. Aulds was employed for 28 years at Olinkraft. She is remembered for keeping her own house, yard, garden, making pickles and jellies for everyone. Mrs. Aulds will always be remembered for kindness to others. Mrs. Aulds is survived by sister Mardel May Floyd; brother, Crafton “Dooley” May; son, Raylon R. Rogers and wife Martha; daughter, Dorinda Rogers Cason and husband Dean; eleven grandchildren; James E. Coughran, Larry R. Coughran, Fred Coughran, Janet Coughran Rice, Ted Coughran, Curtis Coughran, Stephen J. Struben Jr., Eric A. Struben, Colton J. Courtney, Marrianne Rogers Rhodes, Rion Raylon Rogers; several great, and great- great grandchildren all of whom called her “Mama Doris”. She also had two very special friends whom she thought of as a daughter, Jennifer Starnes McCool of Vivian, LA and her dear friend and caregiver, Mrs. Adeline “Marie” Enggoff of Monroe. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Stephen J. Struben, Jr., Eric A. Struben, Colton J. Courtney, Rion Raylon Rogers and nephews, Donald G. Floyd and Randy May. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
