Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Evelyn Culpepper Frasier, age 84, of Mineral Springs, La will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 4, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Dr. Michael Hawley. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Known to most as, Mama Doris, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born January 21, 1931 in Vernon, TX. Doris was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Doris loved cooking for her family and friends. She was also known for being a master seamstress. Mama Doris was known for her love of sports thru her children and grandchildren and her involvement with the athletic departments of Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech University. She was always willing and ready to do anything that was asked of her, from putting on patches for letterman jackets, to repairing uniform jerseys and pants.Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Minnie Culpepper; two brothers, Richard and Edwin Culpepper; and sister, Velma Johnson.She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Talmadge Frasier; children and spouses, Rita (Theron) Ginn, Penny (Rodney) Colvin, Terri Frasier, Kane (Georgia) Frasier, Jeff (Brenda) Frasier, and Jane Frasier-Langford; grandchildren, Dana Land, Shane Ginn, Dusty Colvin, Katie Bennett, Jana Barner, Sara Pardue, Scott Parker, Kelly Walker, Corey Willis, Lanie Hartz, Leslie Frasier, Amy Frasier, Justin Frasier, Dillon Langford, Olivia Langford, Tyler Langford; great grandchildren, Casen, Brayden, and Adalynn Ginn, Bristol Bennett, Sadie Eli Fox, Luke Barner, Mac Pardue, Katelyn and Clayton Neathery, Bryson Walker, Adian and Ethan Parker, Caroline and Isabelle Willis, Will Regan, Amya Sherrill, and Tydus Fauset; brother, Wayne Culpepper; and sisters, Nelda Dunman and Barbara Gayle Hogg.Pallbearers will be Hank Bennett, Chris Hartz, Kane Kennimer, Jason Hogg, Mike Land, and Nathan Walker.Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Choudrant, LA.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
