As a child, I have fond memories of Aunt Doris' loving ways. I still can hear her laugh. Sorry she will no longer be with us on this earth. Heaven is very lucky to have her now.

She is Gone You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she has lived You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left Your heart can be empty because you can't see her Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember her and only that she is gone Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.David HarkinsMy heart is sad for you but your beautiful mom is more alive today than ever. Love you all will be praying for you

Loved my Aunt Doris... she was beautiful inside and out. She lit up the room by her presence and had a truly "gentle spirit". She was a Christian example to me who overcame in life. She will be missed by her family but she and Uncle Leamon are dancing again.
Carol Baker Pardue left a message on September 6, 2016:
Doris loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone. She taught me how to cook a roast and strawberry pie. She was an excellent cook and could make a piano "talk."She missed Leamon very much and now she is with him. It is so hard for us to give up a loved one, but can rejoice in the knowledge that we will see them again if we keep the faith.
