I am so blessed to know this family and to have had the honor to hear Mrs Doris pray over my children in her native tongue. I have several more pictures I will be getting together for the family. My heart is with each of you. I know a mother’s/grandmother’s love can not be replaced.

She treated us as family. I remember when I told her that I was traveling through Dubach once late at night on my way to a tribal gathering and felt it was too late to call. She grabbed my ear, looked at me and said " It doesn't matter how late it is when you come through, I expect you to call me when you're close..." Then she patted my cheek and told me to sing a family song next session which I was honored to do. She always asked about my girls and with the rest of their families help made sure they were always appropriately dressed Kiowa. We'll miss her and honor her as our Grandmother Love, Khoiye boye tane kxee
