Mrs. Doralyn Lusk Luse Kilpatrick Funeral HomeMonroe, Louisiana Funeral services for Mrs. Doralyn Lusk Luse, age 81, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Monroe Memorial Park Mausoleum with the The Rev. Bill Echols and The Rev. Dawnell Stodghill officiating, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe. Mrs. Luse was born and raised in Shreveport, LA, and graduated from Byrd High School in 1943. She attended Centenary College and was a member of Alpha XI Delta sorority. She graduated with a Teaching Certificate from La. Baptist College in 1947, where she served as the first woman president of the Senior class. Mrs. Luse was married to M. E. ?Gene? Luse of Ida, La in 1949, who preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include her sister, Dr. Lina Lusk Allen and her husband, the Rev. Radford B. Allen; daughter, Dana Luse Beckham and her husband, Lloyd Beckham; son, Gary Wayne Luse and wife, Dr. Donna Walton Luse; grandchildren, Lindsey Michelle Beckham, Tiffany Cathleen Luse and Brandon Eugene Luse; nieces, Mardella Luse Sandlin, Mary Helen Luse Madden, Vesta Jean Luse Mohle and Ann Katherine Allen. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Monroe Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Epsicopal Church- 3706 Bon Aire Dr.- Monroe, LA 71203.
