Donald Wayne Jones Sr. was born on May 3^rd, 1952 in Monroe Louisiana, to Vernon and Sarah Jones and passed from this life on April 18^th, 2016.Mr. Jones married Maria Sanchez on November 29^th, 1969, in Houston, Texas. Together they raised their three children in Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.Mr. Jones loved Drag Racing, Football, his antique collectables and spoiling his grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his farther: Vernon Jones; brothers: Richard V. Jones and James D. Jones; sister: Diane Jones-Swayze; Step-Farther: Clyde Fatheree.Survivors include his wife of 46 years Maria Jones; two sons: Donald W. Jones Jr. and wife Catrina, Gary D. Jones and wife Ashley; daughter: Jamie N. Nesbitt and husband Danny; six brothers: Bobby Jones and wife Ramona, Billy Jones and wife Terry, Ricky Jones and wife Diane, Eugene Jones, Danny Jones and Johnny Jones; two sisters: Ethel Brossett and husband Wilford Ray and Betty Scott; grandchildren: Dustin A. Jones, Connor L. Jones, Hannah G. Jones and Holden W. Jones, Zoie B. Ingram and one on the way, Ethan James Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.Pallbearers will be Donald Jones Jr., Gary D. Jones, Connor L. Jones, Frankie Alford, David Jones and Danny Nesbitt.Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 22^nd, 2016, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in 1200 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA 71292. Funeral services for Mr. Jones are at 2:00PM Saturday, April 23^rd, 2016, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Luther Black. Burial will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, 623 Highway 80 East Monroe, Louisiana 71203In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital in memory of Donald Wayne Jones, Sr. or in honor of his granddaughter Hanna Grace Jones.

So sorry to read about Mr Donald. I met him while I was employed with Northeast Truck & Trailer. He was a very nice man. Prayers are surrounding you.

Donald was one of the best men I have known. He loved his wife and family unconditionally and they loved him. He will be remembered with love. My prayers are with his family. Love you all.

Uncle Donald was a very nice and happy person. When I first met him, a long time ago, he treated me as part of the family. Uncle Donald, you are missed!
