Lisa, Jessica, and Jennifer, I was so sad to read about Ms. Dolores's passing in today's newspaper. I had just been thinking of her a couple of days ago; she was such a special person! Ms. Dolores was a fantastic assistant to the North Central Louisiana Arts Council before NCLAC moved its office and gallery to the Dixie and after it was back in the Dixie. She was a terrific gallery clerk who took care of the sales and bookkeeping for our artists. She did it with such good humor and energy. It was always a joy just to sit and talk with her. We certainly missed her after her retirement. I will always appreciate what she did for NCLAC and look to her as a role model. I wish I could have spent more time with her; she certainly holds a bright place in my memory. With deepest sympathy, Susan Roach

Dolores worked for the North Central Louisiana Arts Council for 13 years. She was a marvelous addition to our organization, keeping track of the artists in the gallery as well as the details of all our fundraisers, like the Pickup the Arts raffle. She deserves the crown in the photo of her from the Mardi Gras Ball in 2009.
