Dewitt Crow Funeral services for Mr. Dewitt Crow, 90, of Farmerville, LA., will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Farmerville United Methodist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Truman Stagg assisted by Bro. Kurt Auger and Robbie Alford. Interment will follow in Farmerville City Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Dewitt was born on April 28, 1922 in Marion, LA., and passed away on October 2, 2012 in West Monroe, LA, after a brief illness. Mr. Crow was well known for Crows Furniture in Farmerville for fifty plus years. He served as the Town Council for eight years and won business man of the year in 2009. Dewitt was a friend to anyone he met. Stranger was not in his vocabulary. He had a joke for everyone and was generous with anyone that needed help. He was a member of the Farmerville United Methodist Church. His legacy to his children was a positive work ethic. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, and son-in-law Steve Isaac. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Billie Taylor Crow of Farmerville, LA. sons, John Crow and wife Lisa of Farmerville, LA; Roger Crow and wife Jan of Nashville, TN; daughter, Kathy Crow Isaac of Farmerville, LA; two sisters, Hazel Vestal and Mattie Crow of Marion, LA; four grandchildren, Christy Mullen and husband Philip, Chad Crow and wife Ashley, April Fuller and husband Chris, Stephen Isaac and Ashley, John David Crow and Witt Crow and eight great grandchildren, with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the church. Pallbearers are Ken Cooper, Robert Earle, William Maxwell, Jimmy Odom, Tommy Futch, and Raleigh Neely. Honorary Pallbearers are Iro Baker, Hoyt Tettleton, Thurman Coley, Joe Cusimano, and Stein Jr. Baughman. Memorials may be made to the Farmerville United Methodist Church.
