Delton Washburn Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Delton Washburn, 83, passed away at his home at Bayou D'Arbonne Lake, Bernice, Louisiana, on August 7, 2011. He was born on July 28, 1928, in Plainview, Arkansas, to Addie English Washburn and J.B. Washburn. Mr. Washburn was predeceased by his wife, Mary Washburn, and his siblings, Mary Dale Reynolds, Marian June Purtle, Gene Washburn, and nephew Butch Conatser. He is survived by nieces, June Conatser Hull, Washington; Betty Rogers Mike and Merry Smith George, Little Rock, Arkansas; Deborah Rozell Daryl, Panama City, Florida; and Renee Washburn, Arkansas; and nephews, William Hamilton Reynolds III Marcey, Yellville, Arkansas; Larry Purtle Macy, North Little Rock, Arkansas; Jerry Purtle Jane, Moro Bay, Arkansas; and Jeff Purtle. Fayetteville, Arkansas, and sister-in-law, Joanne Brummett, El Dorado, Arkansas. Delton Washburn entered the U.S. military at age 17 during the Korean War and was a paratrooper and in the military police serving 10 years. He had worked in power line installations, medical supply, and retired from Ensco at in El Dorado, Arkansas. Mr. Washburn will be buried in Leola Cemetery, Leola, Arkansas, or Arlington Cemetery, ElDorado, Arkansas, next to his mother, Addie Washburn Elliott. Memorial services will be held on August 27, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the home of Mr. Washburn, 177 Platt Drive, Bernice, LA. 71222.
