Funeral services for Delores Toney Coody, 79, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2014 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Jared Toney officiating. Interment will follow at Hebert Cemetery, Hebert, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mrs. Coody was born November 26, 1934 in Farmerville, LA and passed away October 1, 2014 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Trecy Toney; sister, Bonnie Cole; granddaughters, Brandi and Candi Gates; grandson, Chance Neathery and nephew, Evan Toney; husband, Charles Coody. Mrs. Coody was employed with Smith Awning and Blind Company for 41 years and one of her favorite pastimes was fishing.Mrs. Coody is survived by daughters; Jan Gates and husband Butch and Debbie Coody; grandchildren; Tadd Gates and wife Amber, Amber Kirkland and husband Jeff, Crystal McMillan, T.J. Takewell and wife April, Stephanie Williams and husband Cody and Stacey Tidwell; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Kelley; brothers; Kenneth Toney and wife Mary, Virgil Toney and wife Cherie, Ronnie Toney, Billy Toney and wife Beth, Donald Toney and wife Becky; numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Billy Huckaby, Todd Kelly, Mark McMillan, Brad McMillan, Steve Coody and Tuppy Gooden.Visitation will be held Saturday October 4, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
